This Congress continues the series of congresses that began in Madrid in 2006 to continue in San Sebastian, Valencia, Seville, Girona and was consolidated as a major event in Ciudad Real in 2017. This year, some of the initiatives introduced in the previous edition are maintained, such as Latin American participation and the inclusion of the topic of Ceramics.
Powder metallurgy in Spain is a mature and well-established technology, as evidenced by the fact that it is the second country in Europe producing sintered parts. As well as being an important power at industrial level, it can be said that Spain also has a university and research community on the international frontline, with a large number of research groups working in the frontiers of technology.
The congress aims to cover two important objectives. The first is to serve as a meeting point between the generators of knowledge, industry and society. The second is to disclose to the powder metallurgical community the latest developments and innovations that have emerged in recent months. A topic that will be treated in a special way in the congress is “Additive manufacturing”.
The congress is sponsored by the Spanish Committee for Powder Metallurgy (EPMA Spanish Chapter), will be held at the Puerta de Toledo Campus of the University Carlos III of Madrid – UC3M, located in the center of Madrid and is organized by the Powder Technology Group of the UC3M.
An important selection of papers presented at the congress will be published in Powder Metallurgy, International Journal of Powder Metallurgy and Boletín de la Sociedad Española de Cerámica y Vidrio.
We invite you to join us in the rewarding task of sharing, disseminating and deepening our knowledge in the field of powder metallurgy and to discover the beautiful city of Madrid!
We hope to welcome you on June 24 at the VII Spanish Congress of Powder Metallurgy and II Ibero-American Conference on Powder Metallurgy.
