Dr. David Limon developed his PhD in Nanoscience at the University of Barcelona, with a grant from CONACYT (Mexico), from 2012 to 2017, in the field of Micro- and nanomaterials for drug delivery in skin diseases, with application for the treatment of Psoriasis, Rosacea, and other inflammatory skin diseases. He has worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Barcelona (Spain), Northwestern University (USA), and University College London (UK). David has experience in the synthesis and/or chemical functionalization of silicon microparticles, gold nanoparticles, and supramolecular hydrogels, as well as their chemical and material characterization, biopharmaceutical and efficacy evaluation (drug release, permeation through human skin, etc.)

Since 2021 he is part of the National Researchers System (Sistema Nacional de Investigadores) (CONACYT, Mexico). He has co-supervised 8 Bachelors/Master theses. David has collaborated in the peer review process for journals such as Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceuticals, Journal of Materials Chemistry B, Open Chemistry, International Journal of Cosmetic Science, Materials Advances, among others, and he is currently guest editor of the Journal Pharmaceutics.

Since 2023 he is a Postdoctoral Researcher at CENIMAT and the Department of Material Sciences at NOVA School of Science and Technology, awarded by La Caixa Foundation.
